RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Responsible for managing the day to day security operations of the Regional Security Monitoring Center (RSMC) and other special projects to ensure the operations, maintenance, and vendor management standards of the contract are met in a cost effective, safe and efficient manner. Maintains knowledge base of industrial security practices, trends and technologies and develops applications ensuring best practices are constantly applied to the RSMC. Sets appropriate security standards and balances business risks, customer expectations, and corporate security requirements while recognizing financial responsibilities. Responsible for regional facility operations in accordance with approved operating guidelines and budget. Leads guarding staff at multiple sites or a regional group of remote sites. Responsible for regional issues to include management strategy, client relations, team building and other key contractual strategies to increase the effectiveness of clients security. Establishes and maintains the highest and most effective liaison and working relationship with all levels of the company's management and employees, law enforcement agencies, and any other individual or group necessary. Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment and regard for confidentiality and preserves personal and professional integrity beyond reproach.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

1. Hands on management of security issues as they apply to the operation of the Communications Center (RSMC). 2. Interfaces with the customer's regional management regarding direction of financial, contractual, and customer security strategies for the facility. 3. Reviews and approves all security expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, materials and additional contract requirements. May assist Senior Security Manager with preparation of security budget. 4. Communicates operating philosophy, objectives and expectations to Site Shift Leaders in a continuing effort to build the site team. 5. Manages, directs and schedules day-to-day and long-range activities for assigned properties and ensure that all security programs and procedures are being properly implemented. 6. Manages and supervises security personnel. Plans, directs, and monitors the performance objectives of Security personnel. 7. Establishes process performance metrics; tracking, analyzing and reporting performance in terms of quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction. Takes corrective action to bring about required change and ensure contract requirements have been executed at a level above the specified standards. 8. Resolves problems and/or conflicts and maintains open communication with the client including providing regular written and oral reports to ensure satisfaction. 9. Manages contractor specifications, problems/issues, performance and administration. 10. Recommends solutions and implements appropriate corrective action for any major security issues. 11. Provides the technical and management direction for all Security Management services and utilizes all JCI resources (i.e. Branch, Procurement, etc.) to reduce costs and increase satisfaction. 12. May assist in the acceptance phase of commissioning construction projects. 13. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards. 14. Knowledge of project management process and development of Capital Appropriations Requests. 15. Performs other duties as required. :

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. 2. Seven years of security management or building operations experience required. 3. Five years of supervisory experience in security management, budgeting, vendor management, operations and maintenance required. 4. Requires knowledge of security management systems. 5. Demonstrated leadership abilities and organizational skills 6. Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Able to manage and train entry-level personnel. 8. Able to deal with customers and others at all levels. 9. Prior law enforcement experience preferred 10. Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment. 11. Requires the ability to travel. 12. Performs audits, reviews and investigations regarding internal issues or requirements.
