Lori Hennon-Bell joined Prudential Financial Global Security in August 2005. With the vast operational and administrative law enforcement experience she now leads Global Security, including Crisis Management, Business Continuation, Asset Protection & Management and Executive Security for Prudential Financial as the Vice President & Chief Security Officer of Global Security. This position incorporates the domestic and International safety and security responsibilities for employees, stakeholders and the physical security of company buildings. The challenges faced in providing a safe a secure working environment fully evoke her commitment to protect, and if necessary, to respond to a corporate security need.
Prior to working at Prudential, Lori Hennon-Bell served a twenty-five year career with the New Jersey State Police. She served at various road stations, the Training Bureau, Human Resource Management Bureau, Patrol Support Bureau, and the Division Staff Section where she was promoted through the ranks and attained Major in December 2001. In this capacity, she commanded over 139 troopers and 274 civilian personnel who staffed the three bureaus that comprise the Division Staff Section. In September 2002, Major Hennon-Bell was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and assigned as the Deputy Superintendent of Administration where she was responsible in overseeing the state police budget which was in excess of $300 million and a civilian and enlisted staff of 1,026.
On February 26, 2004, Governor James McGreevey and Colonel Joseph R. Fuentes announced the creation of the new State Police Homeland Security Branch within the state police, tapping LTC Lori Hennon-Bell to lead this new initiative. This new command was comprised of over 550 troopers and another 500 civilians and served as the front line prevention and response arm for the state of New Jersey in combating terrorism. Lori retired from the New Jersey State Police effective August 1, 2005.
She holds a Bachelor's degree from Thomas Edison State College, a Masters degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, is a state Certified Public Manager, has completed numerous leadership and management certificate programs including, Northwestern University's 10 week School of Staff and Command and the Executive Management Program, Drug Enforcement Administration’s Leadership Program, United States Secret Service Executive Protection Program in Washington, D.C., to name a few. She has been recognized for her efforts in organizational reform and innovations on several occasions, the last of which was by Governor McGreevey for efforts in implementing the State Police Scholars Program. She is a resident of Mercer County, is married and has a thirteen year old daughter and a seven year old son.
